Alexander Druif, DO

Dr. Druif received his bachelor of arts in chemistry with minors in biology and psychology from Indiana University in Bloomington in 1997. Five years later, he pursued pre-professional and post-baccalaureate medical coursework at Florida Atlantic University and Miami-Dade Wolfson campus.

In 2007, Dr. Druif earned his doctor of osteopathic medicine from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Davie, Florida. He completed an internship in general surgery at Peninsula General Hospital in Far Rockaway, NY, followed by a family medicine residency at Palmetto General Hospital in Hialeah, Florida. After finishing his residency in 2010, Dr. Druif provided medical care as a physician at RiteCare Medical Center in Miami, Florida before moving to New York to join Excel Urgent Care.

Board-certified in family medicine, Dr. Druif is a member of the American Osteopathic Association and the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians. He speaks fluent Dutch and is semi-fluent in Spanish and French.

Laurie Costello MD, DABFP

Dr. Costello graduated magna cum laude with her bachelor of science in biology from Adelphi University in Garden City, NY. She received her medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit. In 1994, she completed her residency in family practice at North Shore University Hospital in Glen Cove, NY.

Board-certified in family medicine, Dr. Costello is a professional member of Suffolk County Medical Society, American Academy of Family Physicians, American Medical Association, and American Medical Women’s Association. Prior to joining Excel Urgent Care in 2013, she worked at Huntington Medical Group in Huntington Station, NY for 18 years.
